Step into the golden age of radio with Harmony Hearts’ holiday fundraiser, The Man Who Came to Dinner: A Live Holiday Radio Show! This delightful 1940s-style broadcast brings Kaufman and Hart’s classic comedy to life with vintage sound effects, live Foley artistry, and the warmth of an old-time studio audience.
The Man Who Came to Dinner, as the title suggests, is a comedy about a dinner guest who refuses to leave. After slipping on the ice and being confined to bed in his host’s home, the famously sharp-tongued Sheridan “Sherry” Whiteside wastes no time turning the Stanley household upside down. Christmastime may be a season of giving, but Sherry gives mostly his opinions (and plenty of insults) to everyone within earshot.
Filled with quick wit, eccentric characters, and a dash of holiday spirit, this immersive production is the perfect way to celebrate the season. Recommended for all audiences.
This special holiday event supports Harmony Theater’s ongoing mission to empower individuals with developmental disabilities through the performing arts. Come for the laughter, stay for the nostalgia, and leave feeling part of the immersive holiday magic!
